A bit of Broadway came to Bloomfield on Sunday as Broadway performer Karen Luschar took the stage at the Bloomfield Public Library before an appreciative audience.
Luschar, a Bloomfield resident since moving from Texas in 1979, is currently touring with pianist Richard Danley performing “Let’s Get Away From It All,” a musical tour of the world. Those performances have led to her debut CD with the same title.
“This CD just kind of happened,” said Luschar. “I had this show and I loved the idea of it. Then we put all these instruments with it and it was a fun CD to make.”
Luschar’s career started at the early age of 2, and it was from childhood that she knew her ultimate goal would be performing on Broadway.
