Cricket tournament takes center stage in Harrison

Premier Cricket League hosts day-long event

Ever since the new Harrison High School was opened a few years ago and the FieldTurf playing surface adjacent to the school was installed, there have been a host of sports played there.
Of course, soccer has been played there, but then again, it wouldn’t be Harrison without soccer. It has also hosted its share of football, baseball and softball contests. It really is a true multi-purpose facility.
However, last Saturday, the field at Harrison High was turned into a cricket patch.
Cricket? In Harrison? Right in the heart of a soccer-driven town, home of the New York Red Bulls?
