Laura A. Kimball
Mrs. Laura A. Kimball (Bartley), 47, passed away on Thursday, June 9, in the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville.
Arrangements were by the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held in the funeral home. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.thiele-reid.com.
Laura was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Kearny.
She is survived by her husband Alan S.; three sisters Maureen Kaminski (Donald), Donna Castlegrant and Stacy Bartley; and three brothers Michael, Chris and David Bartley. Laura is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John Gavin
Mr. John “Jack” Gavin, 79, passed away on Friday, June 10, in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.
Arrangements were by the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Funeral services were private.

Mr. Gavin was born in Harrison and was a lifelong resident of Kearny.
He served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
Jack is survived by his children Barbara Gavin-Williams, Beverly, Jacqueline and Matt Gavin and his grandson Jack C. Williams.

James A. Rainey Jr.
James A. Rainey Jr. died suddenly at a bicycle race this past Saturday, June 11. He was 51.
Born in Kearny, he moved to Parsippany four years ago.
Jimmy was a tool and dye maker at Coining in Montvale. He enjoyed cycling and was a member of the Irish American Club in Kearny.
Son of the late James A. Sr. and Joan Rainey, he leaves behind his loving companion Beth Thompson; his former wife Susan (nee Van Lieu) Fields; his beloved children Kristen M. and James A. III; his sisters Valerie, Allison and Cynthia and his pal Ryan Fields.
Arrangements were by Wilfred Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by private cremation.

Marie E. Levy
Marie E. Levy died on June 12 in Centra State Hospital in Freehold. She was 88. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she lived in Kearny before moving to Manalapan 20 years ago.
Mrs. Levy was an insurance clerk for Mutual of Omaha in Livingston. She was also past president of Franklin School P.T.A.
Wife of the late Nathan, she is survived by her daughters and their husbands Linda Nadrowski (Alan) and Bonnie Levy McAlister (Dan); her grandchildren Heather Wade and Kristin Ocasio and four great-grandchildren Brandon, Blake, Bryce and Isabella.
Arrangements were by the Wilfred Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held in the funeral home. Interment was in Hollywood Memorial Park. Docna Perez
Docna Perez (nee Fuentes), 70, of Harrison, formerly of the Ironbound section of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, June 14.

Docna is survived by her sons Daniel, David and Frank; her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Hilda, Emilia, Irma and Mercedes and was aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Ciriaco. Diane M. Nisbet
Diane M. Nisbet died on June 16 in Clara Maass Hospital. She was 46.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she lived most of her life in Kearny.
Diane was a project manager for Buck Consultants in Secaucus.
Beloved daughter of Marie and the late Robert Marks, she is survived by her husband Andy Nisbet; her cherished daughter Kendra; her sister Sharon Fellowes and her husband Robert, along with her two nieces Amanda and Samantha.
