NA Health Department programs

 

North Arlington Health Department, 10 Beaver Ave.,  announces the following programs, scheduled for September.

Blood pressure/health risk assessment: Second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 1 to 2:45 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Child Health Conference, free immunization and Well Baby Care: For infants and pre-school children, by appointment, Thursday, Sept. 15.  Required school-aged immunizations are available for those without health insurance coverage.

First aid for seniors: Free Lunch and Learn program, in conjunction with Clara Maass Medical Center, Thursday, Sept. 22, , beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.  Open to surrounding communities; must register to attend.

Multiphasic blood screening: Thursday, Sept. 29, beginning at 7 a.m. by appointment.  Includes complete blood count with differential, chemistry and lipid profile with CHD risk factor.  Fasting required and a $22 fee will be charged.  C-Reactive protein, Homocysteine level tests, Hemoglobin A1C, and Vitamin D level testing are also available at additional cost.
