Charles J. Dutka Jr.
Charles J. Dutka Jr., 80, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 28, in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.
Arrangements were by Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was offered in St. Cecilia Church, Kearny. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington Condolences and memories may be shared at www.thiele-reid.com.
Charles was born in Jersey City and lived in Kearny his whole life.
He earned his B.S. in business administration from St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, in 1954. After graduating, he was employed as an accountant for Home Insurance Co. in New York City. He retired in 1965.
Mr. Dutka was an assistant Boy Scout leader in Kearny for Troop # 17.
Charles is survived by his brother Bernard Dutka and his sister Emily M. Sawyer and her husband Ronald.

Angelina Cirz
Angelina Cirz (DiStefano), 92, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, in the Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin.
Arrangements were by the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral liturgy was offered in St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny. Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Angelina was born in Kearny and lived there for many years before moving to the Jersey Shore 18 years ago.
She is survived by her children Beverly Randall (Michael) and Edward W. Cirz Jr. (Patricia); five grandchildren Robert Cirz, Anthony Cirz, Jeffrey Cirz, Stephen Randall and Michele Randall; five great-grandchildren Alexis, Chelisie, Nicholas, Kyle and Megamme.

Marie C. McCarthy
Marie C. McCarthy, 83, died at Hampton Ridge Rehab Center on Aug. 27. Born in Kearny, Marie lived in Kearny and North Arlington for many years before moving to Toms River in 1997.
She is survived by her loving husband Bernard; cherished children Brian, Jack (Jeanette) and Karen (John) Weins; along with her siblings Sheila Gray, Fr. Colman McGarril, Frances Gillespie and Ann O’Dea; also surviving are her five grandchildren Mary Catherine, Meghan, John, Brian and Jamie.
Arrangements are by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. A funeral Mass was held at St. Cecilia’s Church in Kearny. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Emilia Rivero
Emilia Rivero, 89, died at home on Aug. 27. Born in Hoznayo, Spain, she lived in Harrison before moving to Warren four years ago.
Predeceased by her husband Angel Rivero, she is survived by her son Ruben and his wife Maria. She was the sister of Isabel Caballero and Jose, Carmen and Aurora Martinez. She is also survived by two grandchildren David and Steven.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark. Entombment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Harold H. Rothenburger
Harold H. Rothenburger, 80, died on Aug. 29 in Belgrove Post Accute Care Center in Kearny.
Born in Orange, he lived in Newark before moving to Kearny 38 years ago. Harold was a retired clerk from Teledyne in Clifton.
He was the husband of the late Pamela M. (Silkie) and brother of the late Elmer Rothenburger. He is survived by his father and mother-in-law Thomas and Dorothy Silkie; his sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy Hemenway and Caryn, Linda and Thomas Silkie and his cousin Christine Geiser.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Agata Patane
Agata Patane, of Kearny, died on Aug. 23.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was held in St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.

Anita B. Marshall
Anita B. Marshall died on Sept. 1 at home. She was 92.
Born in Kearny, she moved to Montville from Little Falls in 1960.  Mrs. Marshall was a secretary for Prudential in Newark and was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the VFW and American Legion and was the secretary at Grace United Methodist Church, all in Kearny.
Wife of the late David, she is survived by her children Rodman Marshall, Lesley Kauffman and David Marshall III; her sister Isabelle Branwell; four grandchildren many great-grandchildren and her niece and nephew Wendy Cerco and Alan Branwell.
Arrangements were by Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held in the funeral home, followed by burial in Arlington Cemetery in Kearny.
