Marie P. DiSerafino

Marie P. DiSerafino of Bonita Springs, Fla., died on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Born in Jersey City, she was the loving wife of Giulio L. DiSerafino, beloved mother of Renee DiSerafino and Gigi Brant and her husband, Lincoln Brant and his two sons, Sawyer Brant of the U.S. Army and Taylor Brant.

Marie was the loving daughter of the late Emedio and Benemina Migliozzi of Jersey City. She was the beloved sister of the late Joseph, Edward, Ernest and Mario.

Marie will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a kind friend to many and loved by all.

We will love you forever.

A memorial Mass was celebrated Saturday, Nov. 17, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28294 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs, Fla.. where Marie was a parishioner.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675 or St. John’s Church Soup Kitchen, 22 Mulberry St., Newark, NJ 07102-5202. Arrangements were by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, Bonita Springs.

Olga Maria Ramos Palmer

Mrs. Olga Maria Ramos Palmer, 63, of Toms River and formerly of Kearny, died on Nov. 16.

Olga had been a waitress at Tops Diner in East Newark for almost 20 years before moving to Toms River.

Her cremation was held privately.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Palmer; her children Wilfredo Ortiz, Jr. and Lisa Brown; her mother, Angelina Wetzle. Also surviving are her siblings, Daisy Pelt and Rafael Ramos, Jr. as well as her grandchildren, Anthony R. and Jake T. Brown and Austin J. Ortiz.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Condon Funeral Home in Kearny.

John Potocki

John Potocki, 90, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, Nov. 15.

Mr. Potocki was born and raised in New York City and has been a resident of Lyndhurst since 1952. He was an electrician for New York City Health and Hospital Corp. of New York for 14 years, retiring in 1987.

John was predeceased by his beloved wives, Charolette (nee Van Schaack) Potocki in 1955 and Alvina J. (nee Luers) Potocki in 1999. He is survived by his beloved children, Linda Pelissier, Robert Potocki and Carol Marchese, by his dear grandchildren, Matthew and Cheryl Pelissier and by his sister, Mary Giacona.

The funeral service was held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, followed by interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Please visit us at www.nazarefuneralhome.com.
