A fish fry, hosted by Belleville Elks Lodge 1123, 254 Washington Ave., will be held on Friday, March 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, $6 for children’s chicken dinner. Meadowlands Conservation Trust Volunteer Cleanup will be held at Skeetkill Creek Marsh, Pleasantview Terrace, Ridgefield on Saturday, March 23, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The group will be collecting debris along the water’s edge and in the vegetation. There may also be an Eagle Scout trail blazing project taking place that day along with replacement of some of the bird boxes.

The borough will host a paper shredding day on Saturday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the borough hall parking lot on Ridge Road.
Residents are invited to bring any personal documents they no longer need to the shredder, which is on loan through Bergen County Utilities Authority.
The borough will be selling blue, 25 gallon recycling barrels to residents for $10 each on shredder day.
Nutley Little Theatre will offer a series of April-June acting classes for adults to emphasize various aspects of scene study at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place, Nutley, beginning April 28.
The course will run for eight weeks, through June 23, with sessions running from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sundays. There will be no class on May 26.
The course will be taught by Kathryn Osborne of the Kathryn Osborne Acting Studio in Montclair. Osborne is a graduate of The University of Texas (BFA) and a member of SAG, AFTRA, and AEA. She has performed in New York and regionally throughout the country in theatre, film, television, voice-overs, and print. Osborne teaches acting at The Adult School of Montclair.
Students in the NLT program must be age 18 or older, attend all classes or notify the instructor of a planned absence. Tuition of $200 may be paid via check to Nutley Little Theatre no later than the initial April 28 class.
