Carol Ann Baron, 74, of Newark, ended her long days’ journey through darkness into light and life at home on June 5.

A celebration of her life/ witness to the resurrection was held at the United Presbyterian Church of Cedar Grove on June 8.

Born on December 18, 1938, in Burlington, Iowa, Carol grew up on a farm in New London, Iowa, and was an accomplished organist as a teenager. Awarded a full scholarship to become the college organist at Parsons College, she left for New York City upon graduation where she earned graduate degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Columbia University. Moving to Newark in 1982, she eventually began her own business, Carol Baron’s Custom Made, designing and creating custom gowns for countless brides. At one time she also served as dean of students at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts.

Carol is survived by her husband, the Rev. Edward A. Clydesdale, whom she married November 16, 1990, and by her two brothers John, of Davenport, Iowa, and William, of New London, Iowa. In addition, she is survived by her step-children, Susan Clydesdale Harris of Harrison, and Edward Scot Clydesdale and his wife Sheri of Circleville, Ohio, and grandchildren Heather, Jeffrey and Jessica.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome contributions in her honor to the United Presbyterian Church of Cedar Grove or People for Animals, 401 Hillside Ave., Hillside, N.J. 07205.

Michael J Carson

Michael J. Carson, 66, of Lanoka Harbor, died at Overlook Hospital in Summit after a courageous five-year battle with cancer on Saturday June 8.

Born in Ashville, N.C., and formerly of Kearny, he was a summer resident of Seaside for many years before moving to Lanoka Harbor in 2004.

Michael retired from the Kearny Police Department as a detective in 2007 after 25 years of service.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years Jean (nee Mullen), their two sons Michael and his wife Cara of Wall, Greg and his wife Maryanne of Haskell, two grandchildren Abigail and Charlotte, along with his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Cremation was private and under the direction of Riggs Funeral Home, Forked River. Contributions may be made in Michael’s name to the American Cancer Society 2310 Rte. 34 Suite D Manasquan, N.J. 08736.

Natalia Wnorowski

Natalia Wnorowski passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children on Sunday, June 9.

Born in Poland, she immigrated in 1960 to Harrison where she lived most of her life. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Harrison. Her faith was an integral part of her life.

Predeceased by her husband Frank in 1995, she was the loving mother of George Wnorowski and Theresa Marks and her husband Ken; cherished grandmother of Alexander and Amanda Wnorowski and John and Pamela Marks. The family greatly appreciates the loving care provided by her caregivers, Basia, Krysia and Marysia.

The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave., Harrison, N.J. 07029 on Wednesday, June 12 at 9:30am. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Harrison at 10am. Friends may call Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm and Wednesday from 9am.
