Belleville

Belleville Public Library and Information Center, 221 Washington Ave., will host “Three Kings Day,” co-sponsored by the Carl A. Paserchia Foundation and Cheer Me Up Foundation, on Monday, Jan. 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the children’s room. For more information, call 973-450-3434.

Belleville Elks, 254 Washington Ave., hosts a blood drive on Thursday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 9 p.m. No appointment is needed. The drive is open to township residents and surrounding communities. Donors will be given a miniphysical.

All donors must be at least age 17, weigh at least 120 pounds, be in good health and bring a signed form of identification. There is no upper age limit for donors provided they meet the health requirements. There is a 24-hour deferral for tooth cleanings and fillings. Those who have recently traveled outside of the U.S. are asked to call the Blood Center of N.J. at 973-676-4700, ext. 132, for eligibility criteria.

Bloomfield

Bloomfield Public Library, 90 Broad St., through a private health consulting firm, offers assistance with the Affordable Care, Health Insurance Marketplace Enrollment on Mondays (10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Thursdays (10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Saturdays (10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Cognosante, a health IT solutions and services provider with 25 years experience, has been contracted by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as certified Marketplace In-Person Assisters to provide enrollment assistance services to individuals, families and small business owners and their employees are funded by CMS.

Lyndhurst

The Lyndhurst Food Pantry, 253 Stuyvesant Ave., will be closed through Jan. 6. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The Food Pantry is open Monday to Thursday, 1 to 3 p.m. Food Pantry patrons must show proof of hardship and proof of Lyndhurst residency in order to qualify.

Lyndhurst Public Library, 355 Valley Brook Ave., will offer these events during January:

• Bring your child for a walk-in story on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Children from pre-K to grade 2 are welcome. No registration is required.

• A 45-minute program for children ages 3 to4 1/2featuring stories, music, and crafts is available, beginning Feb. 20. Parents are welcome to participate. There are two sessions on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Required registration is from Jan. 2 to Feb. 14. Space is limited. Call in advance to register your child.

• Would your child like to make their very own winter accessories, such as scarves, hats and mittens? Children in grades 1 to 4 will join on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. for this craft. Call in advance to register.
