Sean Bratton 

Sean Bratton, 40, died on Aug. 1.

The Archaeological Society of New Jersey (ASNJ) is deeply saddened by the recent, sudden death of Sean, a friend, colleague and longstanding member.

Born July 8, 1975, in Kearny and later a resident of Ocean Grove, Princeton, Jackson and Allentown, Pa., Sean graduated from Kearny High School in 1993. He began his successful career in archaeology while an undergraduate in the Department of Anthropology at New York University. In 1999 while a student, Sean accepted a position as a research assistant with Richard Grubb and Associates, Inc. (RGA), in Cranbury and became an active member of the society in 2000.

Sean is survived by his aunt and uncle Pat and Diane Brannigan, cousin Patrick Brannigan and brother William Bratton.

Contributions to St. John’s Feed the Hungry Program, 22 Mulberry St., Newark, N.J. 07102 in Sean’s memory would be appreciated.

Christopher Greczner 

Christopher Greczner, 88, died Oct. 15 at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark.

Born in Poland, he lived in North Arlington for the past 42 years and was a member of the North Arlington Senior Citizens.

He worked as a machinist for the Passaic Valley Water Commission for 13 years before retiring in 1994.

He was the beloved husband of Emilia S. (nee Gashbauer), the cherished father of Alexander R. Greczner and his wife Carol M. of Virginia, and the loving grandfather of Peter and David.

Arrangements were by the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington. A funeral Mass was held at Michael’s Church, Lyndhurst, followed by entombment in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis Tenn. 38101-9908.

Laura J. Lake 

Laura J. Lake, 53, of Nutley, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Born in Kearny, she resided there before moving to Nutley 25 years ago.

Laura was the prior owner of Gram’s Place in Kearny. She loved to fish, enjoyed the casinos and was a gifted oil paint artist.

She was the life partner of Angela Mustica; the daughter of Joseph Fernandez and the late Rose Mary (Paone) Fernandez; the sister of Karen Lake Ferrara and her husband Chris, Joedy Stahl and her husband Dan, Mary Ellen Fernandez and Jeffrey Fernandez and his wife Laura. Laura was also the aunt of Joseph and Anthony Ferrara, Jordon, Lisa and Zechariah Fernandez and Emily Stahl.

Arrangements were by the S.W. Brown and Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.

Andrea R. Lambertson 

Andrea R. “Cookie” Lambertson , 68, passed away on Oct. 9 at her home in Kearny.

Arrangements were by the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. The funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by a private cremation. Condolences and memories may be shared at www. thiele-reid.com.

“Cookie” was born in Newark and lived in Kearny, North Carolina and North Arlington, before moving back to Kearny in 1997.

She earned her B.A. in sociology from Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn., in 1969 with a minor in psychology; then, in 1979, she earned her M.S.W. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in clinical concentration – individuals, families and groups.

Andrea served as the administrator of Clinical Outpatient Services for the Bergen County Division of Family Guidance in Hackensack from 1998 until her retirement in 2013. Prior, she was the director of Family Counseling in the Juvenile/Family Crisis Intervention Unit for Bergen County.

Miss Lambertson was certified in family mediation, health screening and advanced custody mediation.

She is survived by her brother-in-law John Caldwell and her two nephews Jesse A. Caldwell and his wife Stephanie and Ryan H. Caldwell and his wife Emily.

She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Alice (nee Gardner) Lambertson and her sister Jeanne Caldwell.
