Carol Ann Biernacki

Carol Ann Biernacki, 69, of Harrison, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Born in Newark, she was a lifelong resident of Harrison. She worked as a legal secretary for Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman and Dicker Law Offices, Florham Park.

Carol Ann is the beloved wife of John S. Biernacki, loving mother of Stephen and his wife Karen and Susan Biernacki, her cherished grandson Ryan Sullivan, dear sister of Alfred Wozniak and his wife Kathy, caring sister-in-law of Eileen Maher and her husband Robert. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave., Harrison. A funeral Mass was held at Holy Cross Church, Harrison on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Cremation was private. For information or to send condolences to the family, please visit www.mulliganfuneralhome.org.

Ziggie Borkowski

Ziggie Borkowski, of Harrison, died Jan. 11. He was 87.

Visiting will be on Thursday, March 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 8, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Ziggie served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a longshoreman for 51 years, mostly working for Global Marine Terminal in Jersey City.

Husband of the late Jennie (Kierszkowski), he is the father of Richard and Bill, brother of Barbara Baekey, Chester Borkowski and the late Steven Borkowski, Mary Lisa and Helen Sangiovanni; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Thomas H. Fraser

Thomas H. Fraser entered into eternal rest on Feb. 23. He was 94.

Born in West Hartley Poole, England, he lived most of his life in Kearny.

Visiting will be on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Arlington. Private cremation will follow. Tom was very well known in many towns as one of the finest paper hangers around.

He was married for 71 years to his beloved with Ethel (Anderson). Father of Thomas A., Richard and the late Diane Fraser, he also leaves behind his brother James Fraser and sister Louise Eckert as well as his grandchildren Danny, Tami, Ryan, Tom, Jennifer, Allison and Lauren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Thomas P. Kinsella

Thomas P. Kinsella, 83, passed away on Feb. 13 at Bayshore Community Hospital.

Born in Newark, he lived in Kearny most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Western Electric in 1988.

He is survived by his sister Patricia Kreideweis and husband Arthur of Ocala, Fla., niece Theresa Moulder of Ocala, Fla., and nephew Arthur Kreideweis of BelleMead.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict’s Church in Hazlet.

Carol A. O’Grady

Carol A. O’Grady died on Feb. 21 at home. She was 65.

Born in Hoboken, she moved to Kearny 34 years ago.

Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. A funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by private cremation. Timothy J. Richardson

Timothy J. Richardson (“The Hulk”) died on Feb. 15 at home. He was 53.

Born in Kearny, he lived in Old Bridge and the last 10 years in South Amboy.

Tim had been a print supervisor at R.R. Donnelly in New York City. Prior to that he worked at Premier Printers in Kearny. He is a member of the American Legion in South Amboy.

Son of Emma Costa and the late George Richardson he is survived by his brothers and sister George, Daniel and Linda Richardson. He was predeceased by his brother Kevin.

Harold Gordon Tellefsen

Harold Gordon Tellefsen died on Feb. 18 at Bergen Regional Medical Center. He was 81. Born in Staten Island, he lived in Linden for the past 20 years.

Mr. Tellefsen was a retired machinist from American Cyanmid Co. and was a member of the VFW in Linden. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he enjoyed the USS Robert S. Wilson reunions.

Former husband of the late Rachael (Melvin), he is survived by his son Dr. Gordon Tellefsen and his wife Amanda and his grandchildren Jenny, Jeff and Jamie. Brother of Edith, he was predeceased by his sister Ruth.

Elaine Wagner

Elaine Wagner (nee Hubold), 61, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Feb. 21 at her home in North Arlington.

She lived in Harrison for many years prior to moving to North Arlington 11 years ago.

Elaine is survived by her beloved husband Louis, married 38 years, cherished daughter of Eleanor Hubold, her loving daughter Jillian Serron and her husband Jorge, devoted grandmother of Madison and Sophia.

She was also survived by her dear sisters and brothers-in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother James Hubold and uncle George Graham.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave., Harrison. A funeral Mass was held at Holy Cross Church, Harrison on Monday, Feb. 25.
