Jeffrey Ai
Jeffrey Ai died peacefully at Overlook Hospital on Sept. 5. He was only 12 years old.
Born in Newark, he was a lifelong Kearny resident. Jeffrey was a student at Washington School in Kearny and loved the Yankees, Pokemon games, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Legos, Nintendo, and  Wii/.D.S.
He leaves behind his parents Junfeng Ai and Zhen (Lily) Li, his stepbrother Charles Ai and loving family in China.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A Buddhist funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Valarie Fund c/o the funeral home would be appreciated.

Cecilia B. Cochrane
Cecilia B. Cochrane died on Sept. 3 at home. She was 73.
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she immigrated to Kearny 54 years ago.
Ceil was a sales clerk at Mid Town Pharmacy and was a former member of the Woman’s Auxiliary at The Scots and The Irish Clubs in Kearny.
She is survived by her husband Victor and her children Debbie Zagola (Dominick), Steven (Evelina) and Christopher. Her son Victor died in 1996. Sister of Ellen McLaren, Hannah Evitt and Teresa Fowler, she is also survived by her grandchildren Shane, Caitlin, Sheila, Brianna, Zac, Kylene, Mikayla, Victor and Chelsey; her great grandson Victor, and the Dunston and Silvers families.
Ceil’s family lovingly thanks all the dear friends and neighbors for all their concern and help.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral Mass was held in St. Cecilia’s Church. Ceil was laid to rest with her son Victor at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to St Barnabas Hospice.

Margaret Parry
Margaret Parry died on Sept. 3 at the Belgrove Post Acute Care Center in Kearny. She was a lifelong resident of Kearny.
Before retiring, she was a teller for the Kearny Federal Savings Bank.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas J. Parry, her parents George and Amelia Ellwood, her brother Robert Ellwood, her son Thomas M. and grandson Thomas J. Parry. She is survived by her son George; daughter-in-law Donna Parry; her grandchildren Roanne Valente (Victor), Dionna Duarte (Chris) and Amelia; along with her great-grandchildren Nico Thomas, Tommi Rose, Christian Hudson, and Charli Reese.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A service was held in the funeral home, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home.
