Four new Nutley residents have tested positive for the Coronavirus, officials announced Sunday, March 22.
Officials say this brings the total to 14 known cases in the township.
Statewide, there are 1,914 known cases and there have been 20 deaths. In Essex County, there are 172 known cases and 5 deaths.
The known cases in Nutley include men and women between the ages of 20 and 80.
Because of federal privacy regulations, the township cannot share detailed information on cases and residents should not contact the Nutley Health Department to request patient details.
The Nutley Health Department says it is working diligently to track any interactions the individuals who have tested positive have had with other residents, and it will ensure anyone at risk of exposure is provided all necessary information, including being tested themselves, if appropriate.
