Two people sustained life-threatening injuries in an early morning crash in Kearny Oct. 19, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said today.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the collision where a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were seriously hurt.
The Kearny Police Department responded to the area of Rt. 7 and Harrison Avenue split at approximately 4:08 a.m., on reports of a vehicle that crashed into a disabled tractor trailer.
All four occupants of the car were transported to University Hospital in Newark.
The 21-year-old driver, a Garfield man, and a second rear passenger, a 20-year-old man, are listed in stable condition.
The driver – who was traveling west on Rt. 7 in a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer – collided with a tractor trailer that was disabled on the side of the road, the initial investigation revealed.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Kearny Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
