News from the Nutley police blotter

A Sunday afternoon altercation between two teenagers on Franklin Ave. last week culminated in a 14-year-old boy stabbing a 16-year-old, police reported.  The victim apparently suffered only a minor hand laceration.
The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. on Aug. 7 and reportedly was witnessed by several juveniles, who were interviewed by detectives.
The investigation is continuing, and charges are pending.
Other reports from the Nutley PD blotter for the week ending Aug. 11 included, but were not limited to,  the following:

Aug. 5
1:29 a.m. –  A random license plate check on Bloomfield Ave. revealed that the registration on a 1994 BMW was expired. In addition, the motorist turned out to not have a  valid driver’s license. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was issued summonses.
