Man alleges he was robbed by three Black men: Harrison police

On December 1, 2013 a man reported that he was assaulted and robbed by three black males while walking in the area of John Street and Hamilton Street at approximately 8:30 PM. All suspects are described as black males in their 20′s, wearing dark clothes; all approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 160lbs. One suspect had green colored jeans on; the other two were wearing blue jeans. Two suspects had black scarves covering their mouths.

Between November 25, 2013 and November 27, 2013 some unknown actor(s) broke into 1995 BMW while it was parked under Rt. 280 on Hamilton St. Reported was damage to the driver side door lock and  the ignition was popped out. Approximately $5200 dollars of items were removed from the vehicle.

On 11/27/2013 at 3:05 AM, Police were dispatched to 2 Harrison Ave, Hess gasoline station on a report of a theft of service. The complainant told Police that a white 2014 Range Rover bearing NJ plates; being occupied by two black males did not pay for $56.00 worth of fuel. The suspects fled East on Harrison Ave over the Bridge Street Bridge into Newark.

On Friday November 29, 2013 at approximately 1:30pm a grey Lexus entered the Delta Gas Station on Frank Rodgers Blvd. South for fuel.  According to the attendant he filled the vehicle with fuel and the amount came to $56.00.  As the attendant removed the gas hose from the vehicle the driver fled the station without paying.  The attendant stated the vehicle fled south on Rodgers Blvd. towards Newark.  The attendant stated the vehicle had a NJ license plate

On Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 08:35 AM a Jeep Grand Cherokee with Pennsylvania registration was reported stolen from the Harrison side of Ogden Avenue near Harrison Avenue.

Between 9:30 PM on November 26, 2013 and 9:45 AM on November 27, 2013 a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, color red was stolen from the northwest side of Cross Street near Davis Avenue.

On November 27, 2013 at approximately 12:16 Police responded to Kingsland Avenue and Cross Street on a report of a stolen motor vehicle.  The vehicle owner stated that he parked his 1996 Honda Accord in front of 560 Cross Street at approximately 9:00 PM on 11/26/2013; when he returned at 12:16 PM on November 27, 2013 he discovered his vehicle was missing.

On November 28, 2013 at approximately 3:27 PM a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country was reported burglarized while parked on the 200 Block of Warren Street, under the 280 bridge. The owner states he parked the vehicle on 11/16/2013 at approximately 11:00 PM. The ignition key cylinder was damaged.  The key cylinder was hanging under the steering column.  The center column was also damaged along with the steering column.

On December 1, 2013 at approximately 01:43 AM an officer on patrol observed a black Honda traveling east on Harrison Ave. disregard the red traffic signal at Harrison Ave / Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. The officer followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the traffic light at Harrison Ave / 5th Street. After investigation it was determined that the driver, Jorge Madrano (27) of Newark was operating while under the influence; he was arrested and charged.
