Josephine Triano

Mrs. Josephine Triano (nee Sanfilippo), a lifelong Kearny resident, died Dec. 15, 2019 in the presence  of her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the Condon Funeral Home 684 Kearny Ave., Kearny (www.condonfuneralhome.com) on Friday, Dec. 20,  from 4-8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.

Jo was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Gerard (John) Triano.

She was the mother of Dennis (Patty) and Robert Sr. (Diane), and grandmother to Amy, Rebecca (Jason), Robert Jr. (Michelle), Nicole (AJ) and Michael; great-grandmother to James Robert, Justin, Levi and Luca.

She leaves behind her nieces Rosemary Jeck, Donna Green, her son and three daughters, and many other nieces and nephews.  She was pre deceased by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Kindly omit flowers. Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Stephen’s Church Heritage Fund to purchase defibrillators for the church. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.

John J. Pomponi

John J. Pomponi of Harrison died peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at home.

He was 60.

Funeral services were under the direction of Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Ave., Harrison.    A funeral Mass was offered at Holy Cross Church, Harrison. His interment took place in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Born in Orange, John was a lifelong resident of Harrison. He was the owner and operator of Pomponi Heating, Harrison, for 30 + years. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church, Harrison, and a member of the Harrison-East Newark Elks.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Donna A. Pomponi (nee Bennett), a loving son, Anthony, his cherished mother Sylvia Pomponi and a dear brother, Mark Pomponi (Annette). He is also survived by many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father John L. Pomponi.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn.  38105-1942, in loving memory of John.

Charles F. Kinsella

Charles F. Kinsella, 68, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, in Alaris at Belgrove, Kearny.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Mr. Kinsella was born in Newark, and was a lifelong resident of Harrison. He was recently recognized as the longest living resident in Harrison Gardens.

Charles was a laborer with the Harrison Department of Public Works for 30 years before retiring in 2005.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Sally Ann Hahn, Mary Brown, Helen, Joseph, Edward and Thomas Kinsella.

Walter Ciaston

Walter Ciaston died at home in San Francisco on Nov. 15, 2019.

He was 62.

Private arrangements were by the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny.

Walter worked in the entertainment business as a stage coordinator for Broadway Shows in San Francisco.

Walter was the son of the late Walter and Frances (nee Kaprawzeski) Ciaston. He is survived by his brothers James (his wife Mary Ann) Ciaston and Edward Ciaston. He was also the uncle of Brooke Lynne Ciaston, Kristie Leigh Cohen (her husband Dan), James Ciaston and Michael Ciaston.

Frank Reveco

Frank Reveco, 62, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle and grandfather, died Nov. 26, 2019.

Frank lived in Clermont, Florida, but was originally from Santiago, Chile. He and his wife, Susan B. Green, of Harrison, raised two children — Natalie and William — in Clifton. He worked for the Passaic Valley Water Commission until he retired in 2016.

A memorial Mass will take place at Holy Cross Church, Harrison, on Dec. 28 at 10 a.m.

Donations to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society may be made in Frank’s memory.

Anna J. Cuco

Anna J. Cuco (nee Figlia) of North Arlington Died Nov. 2, 2019, at Hackensack Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was 57.

Anna was a 1980 graduate of North Arlington High School. She was the beloved wife of the late Joe; cherished daughter of the late Quincy and Ruth (nee Clenaghan) Figlia; loving sister of Quincy and wife Flor; Frank, Robert, Michael and wife Fran, Maria Molina and husband George, Donna, and Cindy. She was the loving aunt of Tamara Harrison and husband Brett, Timothy, Nadine, Michael, Brittany, David, Daniel and Mayum Figlia. She was loving great-aunt to Ivy and Gunner Figlia.

A memorial service took place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, on Nov. 12, 2019, where interment followed. Repast was at Centanni’s, North Arlington.
