HARRISON –
Eleven people were left homeless by a fire that swept through a three-family, woodframe home at 324 William St. early Saturday.
None of the occupants was hurt and a cat was rescued from a third-floor apartment.
But two members of the Kearny Fire Department — Capt. Dave Kealy and Firefi ghter Mike Richardson — were taken to St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark. Kealy had a sprained foot; Richardson, heat exhaustion. Both were listed as off-duty this week.
Harrison Fire Capt. Ronald Greenmeier had a minor back injury for which he refused medical attention. He stayed at the fire scene.
