Josephine Daily
Josephine Daily (nee Dolan) died on Sept. 13 at home. She was 95.
Born in Newark, she lived in Kearny before moving to Nutley three years ago. Mrs. Daily was a retired bookkeeper from A.L. Wilson in Kearny.
Devoted wife for 68 years to the late Peter Daily, she is survived by her loving children and their spouses Marianne and Russell Titus, Peter and Carole Daily and Janet and Jack Fenwick; her grandchildren Lisa (Mario), Russell (Lauren), Kim (Tim), Nancy (Sal), Janet (Jason), Amy (Kelly), John (Amy), Dave, Jenny (April), Chris and Michael. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and was predeceased by her siblings Francis and Andrew Dolan and Veronica Lynskey.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Peter’s Church in Belleville. Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum. If you care to make a memorial donation, the family requests that you consider the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Stanley Szczepkowski
Stanley Szczepkowski, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at his home in Harrison.
Born in Poland, he lived most of his life in Harrison.
Stanley work as a maintenance worker for the Harrison Housing Department, Harrison, for 20 years, retiring in 1993.
He is survived by his dear friend Carol Swientnicki, his former wife Henrietta, daughter Joanne Sollitto, granddaughter Ashley Sollitto and his sister Sophie Dellock. He is also survived by his niece Susan Paolini and her husband Gary.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mulligan Funeral Home, Harrison. A funeral service was held at the funeral home, followed by private cremation.  To send condolences, please visit mulliganfuneralhome.org.

Helen I. Magdon
Helen I. Magdon, 91, died on Sept. 14 in St. Michael’s Medical Center.
Born in Pennsylvania, she lived in East Newark before moving to Kearny 17 years ago. Before retiring, she was a receptionist for the Pollock Hospital in Jersey City.
Predeceased by her son David Magdon, she is survived by her dear friend Barbara, Jen, Angel and Frankie, along with all her other Brighton Avenue neighbors.
Arrangements were by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. A funeral service was held in the funeral home, followed by a private cremation. Helen’s cremains will be buried with her son David at Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the ASPCA.

Jean A. Mitchell
Jean A. Mitchell, 82, died at home on Sept. 13.
Born in Canton, Ohio, she lived in Staten Island, N.Y, before moving to Kearny 18 years ago.
She is predeceased by her husband Matthew Mitchell and her parents Frank and Rachel Good. She is survived by her daughter Paula and her husband Bill Hyland.
Private arrangements were made by the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.

Glenn M. Incitti
Glenn M. Incitti, 53, of Scranton, Pa., passed Tuesday, Sept. 6, at his mother’s home in Toms River. A beautiful service was held for him in Toms River on Sept. 8 and 9. Glenn lived in Kearny for most of his life before moving to Scranton in 1996. He was the owner and administrator of a sober home in Scranton, which was a safe haven for many people with addictions. He started his rescue in 1996.
Glenn is survived by his mother, Audrey Incitti, of Toms River; his father, Joseph Incitti, of Kearny; one brother, Joseph, of New Egypt; his sisters Julie Butrymowicz of Toms River and Paula Cavalier of Kearny. He has three nephews, Billy, Kyle, and Michael, and his niece, Jessica.
