Join a trainer from Bergen County Community College for comprehensive computer training at North Arlington Public Library on Oct. 4 and 11, from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. (with a short break for lunch).  Laptops will be provided for up to 15 participants; registration is required and limited to North Arlington residents.  Students may sign up for one or both workshops.  Please call the library director to register or sign up at the front desk.

Day 1 (4 hours) includes:

Part 1 – Web-based email instruction (2 hours)

Part 2 – Job searching on the Internet (2 hours)

Day 2 (4 hours) includes:

Part 1 – Introduction to Word (2 hours)

Part 2 – Creating resumes and cover letters with Word (2 hours)

What participants need to know/bring:

•Participants must have a web-based email account (Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc) and know how to access it from the library. If not, perhaps a librarian can help set them set one up.

•Bring a flash drive to Section B if they would like to learn how to use them.

•Bring their library cards (if they have one) with them to class.

The training is an element of the State Library’s BTOP Project, “New Jersey Libraries – Anchor Institutions as Instruments of Recovery,” funded through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
