W.H.A.T. seeking actors for short plays

The West Hudson Arts & Theater Company announces auditions for its virtual spring showcase of original one-act plays, including several by local playwrights.

This diverse group of short plays will showcase the hidden talent behind local playwrights.

“We’re excited to offer a virtual live spectacle of these works to present a memorable variety show, right from the comfort of your home,” W.H.A.T. President Jerry Ficeto said. “There’s a part for everyone to play in these performances — so long as you have a computer, camera and a microphone.”

The plays will be performed May 7.

Audition requirements

Record yourself performing a short, 1-2 minute monologue of any genre and submit it online bit.ly/2One4XN or by email to whatoneacts@gmail.com. Subject your email as AUDITION and your name. Though not required, headshots and resumes may also be submitted.

Audition deadline is midnight, March 27.

W.H.A.T. also seeks volunteers for future productions to build sets, make costumes, handle ticket sales, etc. Sign up to volunteer at www.whatco.org/about/contact-us.
