15-year-old Nutley girl is missing

NUTLEY —

Nutley police continue to search for a 15-year-old Nutley girl who was reported missing Friday by her parents.

Eva Simon, in a photo to the right of this text, was last seen at 6:51 p.m., Friday, June 12. It’s not clear what she was wearing when she disappeared.

She’s 5’9”, 140 pounds. has brown hair and brown eyes and is a Latina.

Nutley Police Patch TransparentShe was staying with family in Cuba the past year and returned to the U.S. just yesterday.

Police say she was depressed when she got back and immediately left her home. She had associated with gang members in Newark last year and is suspected to have returned to the North Newark Area, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nutley police at 973-284-4940 or to use the department’s new anonymous tip-reporting system by texting NPDTIPS to 274637 (CRIMES).
