The Township of Nutley’s Board of Commissioners announced the second death of a Nutley resident who had tested positive for COVID-19. Specific details, however, were not released.
On Friday, March 27, the township also announced an additional 11 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, for a total of 53 known cases.
The known cases in Nutley include men and women between the ages of 20 and 90. (This is the first time the age range has changed on the high end, from 80 to 90.)
Because of federal privacy regulations, the township cannot share detailed information on cases and residents should not contact the Nutley Health Department to request patient details.
The Nutley Health Department says it is working diligently to track any interactions the individuals who tested positive have had with residents, and they will ensure that anyone at risk of exposure is provided with all of the information necessary, including being tested themselves if appropriate.
