Belleville Historical Society hosting social in honor of Civil War Drummer Boy

The Belleville Historical Society will be putting the spotlight on a unique role model for today’s young people by hosting a birthday tribute for America’s youngest Medal of Honor recipient, 11-year-old Civil War drummer boy Willie Johnston. The Society will be giving away American Flags, red, white and blue cupcakes and ice cream from a vintage Good Humor Ice Cream bicycle on Monday, July 27, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Belleville American Legion Post 105, 621 Washington Ave. For more information, contact call Mike Perrone at (973) 780-7852.
