Hadshinow recalls 9/11 monument he engraved 20 years ago

Val Hadshinow, a professional monument designer and engraver from North Arlington and a Belleville Historical Society Trustee, put the finishing touches with gold leaf on the Glen Ridge municipal Sept. 11, 2001, monument. Afterward, Hadshinow and Belleville Historical Society President Michael Perrone and Trustee Tom Grolimond visited the Essex County 9-11 monument in West Orange, where 20 years ago Hadshinow engraved the nearly three thousand names of those killed on that fateful day. ‘It seems like only yesterday, it’s hard to believe that it’s been more than 20 years,’ Hadshinow said.
