Quintana, Mujeres Valientes, mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Every year, as she has for the last 20, Emma Quintana, of Kearny, the founding member of Mujeres Valientes, or Brave Women, places pink ribbons on trees in the area as a reminder that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Earlier this month, the Mayor and Town Council cut a ribbon to kick the month off in Kearny, Quintana is herself a survivor of this most hideous disease.
